96 years accompanying the revolutionary cause of the nation
2026 marks the 96th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Propaganda and Training sector of the Party (August 1, 1930 - August 1, 2026). Over the past 96 years, the Propaganda and Training sector has always been the leading force on the Party's ideological front. Under the leadership of the Party, propaganda and training work has made an important contribution to spreading Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's ideology; propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; building the great national unity bloc and consolidating people's trust in the Party's leadership.
Entering the renovation period, the Propaganda and Training sector continues to strongly innovate in the direction of proactive - timely - persuasive - modern, promoting the application of digital technology, artificial intelligence, digital platforms and social networks in propaganda work; improving the quality of grasping and orienting public opinion; strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation; spreading good values, examples of good people and good deeds and arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.
For the grassroots level, propaganda and education work is increasingly closely linked to the task of socio-economic development, building new rural areas, administrative reform, digital transformation, building digital government and improving the spiritual and cultural life of the people.
According to Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Van Thi Bach Tuyet, the requirement to innovate and improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda and mass mobilization work in the new situation is a task that is both urgent in the short term and strategic in the long term.
Applying science and technology, digital transformation and artificial intelligence does not change the main goals of ideological work and mass mobilization, but only changes the way official information reaches people faster, more accurately, more persuasively, firmly consolidates people's trust in the Party and government, creating the overall strength of the great national unity bloc.
Proactively manage social trust
According to Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet, the consistent spirit of all tasks of propaganda and mass mobilization work, in the final analysis, all relates to one supreme goal: maintaining and fostering people's trust in the Party, State and regime; strongly shifting the method from information management to proactively managing social trust.
In which, it is necessary to do a good job of ideological work and policy communication, creating unity within the Party, consensus in society, directly serving the goal of growth and development of the country. Strongly shift from one-way propaganda to explanation, dialogue, persuasion, leading awareness and promoting action.
Completing on schedule, ensuring the quality of projects and strategic tasks; resolutely not letting work be owed or delayed. Improving the quality of theoretical work, press, publishing, culture, arts and foreign information; maintaining the Party's ideological battlefield. Theoretical work must closely follow reality, promptly summarize new issues in the process of national development, building socialism and protecting the Fatherland.
In which, the revolutionary press must maintain information discipline, be the main force orienting public opinion, not chase after social networks, not commercialize at all costs, and not make mistakes in politics and ideology.
The Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission also emphasized the innovation of science and education work in the direction of closely following reality, clearly defining tasks and results, directly serving the requirements of rapid and sustainable development. Taking practical results, substantive changes and people's satisfaction as a measure.
Each Party committee and Party organization, first of all the head, must be directly responsible for preserving and consolidating trust in the assigned area and field; taking social consensus and the people's trust as the final measure for the results of propaganda and mass mobilization work.
