The official welcoming ceremony for Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith and his wife Naly Sisoulith was solemnly held at the Presidential Palace on the morning of September 10. General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly presided over the welcoming ceremony.

As the motorcade carrying Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith and his wife entered the Presidential Palace, General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife warmly welcomed Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith and his wife, who led the Lao high-ranking delegation on a state visit to Vietnam.
Amidst the welcoming music, General Secretary and President To Lam invited General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith to step up to the podium.
After listening to the national anthems of the two countries, General Secretary and President To Lam and General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith left the podium, bowed to the military flag and inspected the Guard of Honor of the Vietnam People's Army. The two leaders then introduced the members of the high-ranking delegations of the two countries attending the welcoming ceremony.
After the solemn welcoming ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam and General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith entered the Presidential Palace for talks.
The visit to Vietnam by Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith is the second visit since the beginning of the 11th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (January 2021) and follows the state visit of Comrade To Lam as President (July 2024). This is a vivid demonstration of the good and deep feelings of the great friendship, special solidarity, closeness, loyalty and purity between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
