Within the framework of the state visit to the Republic of Belarus, at noon on May 12 local time, right after the talks, General Secretary To Lam and President Aleksandr Lukashenko witnessed the handover ceremony of cooperation documents between Vietnam and Belarus.
Cooperative documents include: The intention of strengthening the cooperation in military training and experts between the Ministry of Defense of Vietnam and the Ministry of Defense Belarus; Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the Ministry of Communications and Informatics Belarus on digital conversion;
The memorandum of Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology and the State Technology Committee of Belarus on cooperation in the field of science, technology and innovation; The cooperation program in the field of culture between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Belarus Ministry of Culture period 2026-2028;
The cooperation program between the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam and the Belarus Ministry of Justice in the period of 2025 - 2027; The memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Health of Vietnam and the Belarus Ministry of Health in the field of pharmaceutical products; The cooperation agreement between the Voice of Vietnam Radio and the National Television Radio Belarus;
Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Association of Foreign Friendship and Cultural Exchange of Belarus.
General Secretary To Lam and President Aleksandr Lukashenko both signed a joint statement on the establishment of the Vietnam - Belarus Strategic Partnership.
Also here, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko presented the Ethnic Friendship Medal to General Secretary To Lam.
Inheriting the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and the former Soviet Union, the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Belarus have been continuously consolidated and developed in recent years. The two countries have many complementary strengths and Vietnam is a traditional trade partner of Belarus in Southeast Asia.
General Secretary To Lam's state visit to Belarus this time is very important, not only strengthening and enhancing political trust between Vietnam and traditional friends, but also conveying Vietnam's message and determination to continuously strengthen the traditional friendship and relations with countries of the former Soviet Union, including Belarus.
