Considering and deciding on personnel work
In the afternoon of March 9, at the National Assembly House, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh co-chaired the Conference of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee with the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee on the content and program of the First Session, 16th National Assembly.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the Conference aims to exchange and unify direction on the content of the program of the First Session, so that relevant agencies can promptly review the situation and progress of preparing contents to ensure that the session takes place smoothly, with the highest quality and efficiency.
The National Assembly Chairwoman emphasized that the First Session of the 16th National Assembly is of particular importance, being the first session of the term, in which the National Assembly will consider overall issues on the organizational structure and 5-year development plan of the term.
Emphasizing that the time from now until the opening day of the First Session of the 16th National Assembly is not much left, while the workload is very large, the National Assembly Chairman requested relevant agencies to focus highly to ensure the progress of preparing dossiers and documents.
The National Assembly Chairwoman said that, according to the plan, the election results will be announced on March 23. After that, competent authorities will meet to consider and decide on personnel work.
Therefore, as soon as there is a conclusion from competent authorities on personnel, relevant agencies must urgently complete the dossier to promptly submit it to the National Assembly.

Sharing with the Government in the context of the world and domestic situation facing many difficulties, directly affecting the energy market, especially gasoline and oil prices, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the Prime Minister is urgently working with leaders of some countries to exchange and find solutions to share energy supplies and ensure stability for the country.
About 4 million barrels of oil have been mobilized
Speaking at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the close coordination between the National Assembly and the Government in the past time, especially in the preparation of content for the First Session of the 16th National Assembly.
In managing socio-economic development, the National Assembly and the Government also always support and contribute ideas to each other; The Government maximizes the reasonable and accurate opinions, thanks to which many positive results have been achieved.
According to the Prime Minister, up to this point, it can be affirmed that Vietnam is still one of the economies with high growth rates in the region and in the world.
Overall, according to the Prime Minister, the coordination between the National Assembly and the Government in the past term has been very close, synchronous and effective.

Regarding the contents of preparation for the First Session, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh clearly stated that the general spirit is to prepare best. Especially to ensure that documents are prepared fully, promptly and improve quality, showing the highest sense of responsibility to the nation, compatriots, and the country.
Stating that at this session, the Government is expected to submit 32 dossiers to the National Assembly, the Prime Minister requested ministers and heads of sectors to be directly responsible for completing the dossiers and documents submitted to the Session; closely coordinate with the Committees of the National Assembly to review and complete, not to cause work congestion.
Exchanging views on some specific issues, the Prime Minister also proposed to update new situations into the socio-economic report for 2026, due to the rapidly evolving world context, especially after tensions in the Middle East, affecting the energy supply chain.
Stating that the Government is holding meetings and continuously directing to respond to the situation, the Prime Minister informed that Vietnam has mobilized about 4 million barrels of oil from partners to ensure immediate supply, contributing to stabilizing market sentiment and people's lives.
In the context of the world situation developing very quickly, complicatedly and unpredictably, posing many common challenges, the Prime Minister believes that the coordination between the Government and the National Assembly must be even closer, in the spirit of "Party leadership, Government management and administration, National Assembly accompanying, People supporting and international friends supporting".
