The Russian Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the Vietnam-Russia Heritage and Cultural Connection Space will become a symbol of friendship between the two countries, an address connecting all those who love Vietnam's unique culture, contributing to further strengthening cooperative relations between the two countries; and at the same time acknowledged the efforts of the parties to make the success of this project, as well as not forgetting generations of Vietnamese students who studied at VGIK and later became famous Vietnamese artists, directors, painters, and cinematographers, who laid the first bricks for Vietnam-Russia training cooperation in the field of culture and art.

Speaking at the Program, General Secretary and President To Lam expressed that Vietnam-Russian Federation relations are built on a special foundation: deep political trust, loyal and pure feelings and empathy between the two nations that have gone through many historical challenges.

In that journey, culture, education and art have an extremely important position. Culture is the spiritual foundation, the endogenous driving force of bilateral relations.

Vietnam is always grateful and appreciates the support and meaningful assistance that the former Soviet Union and Russia today have given to Vietnam in training valuable human resources in the field of culture and arts for more than 7 decades.

General Secretary and President To Lam shared that Vietnam has just passed a resolution on cultural development, in which it affirms that cultural and human development is the foundation, an important endogenetic resource, a great driving force, and a pillar for rapid and sustainable development of the country. Cultural values must be closely linked, harmonized, deeply penetrated into the entire social life, and truly become the soft power of the nation in the new era of development.

To build and develop an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity in the new era, Vietnam wishes to continue to cooperate closely and deeply with Russia in the fields of culture, art and cinema.

The two sides need to promote exchange activities; consider human resource training and connecting young generations as investments for the future of the two countries' relations, creating conditions for young Vietnamese and Russian filmmakers to meet and exchange early, study together and create together.

General Secretary and President To Lam clearly stated that heritage only truly lives when it is continued by creation. Friendship is only truly sustainable when it is passed down through hearts, sincere, vivid and close experiences with the next generations.

At the program, General Secretary and President To Lam and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Chernyshenko jointly inaugurated the Vietnam-Russia Heritage and Cultural Connection Space.

Next, General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with delegates from the two countries, visited the Vietnam-Russia Heritage and Cultural Connection Space.
