Vietnam will quickly build a national national AI supercomputing center and open AI data for sharing, implementing AI as electrification, but we will AI as quickly and as quickly as possible. populalizing AI, educating about AI cases, just like the previous English learning movement. Regarding open AI technology, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that Vietnam is committed to developing and mastering digital technology, including AI, based on open standards and open source code. This is also a strategy of Vietnam to develop and master Vietnamese technology, implementing "Make in Vietnam".
A golden opportunity for Vietnam to make a breakthrough in development
In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council - said that this Workshop aims to analyze the huge impacts, both unprecedented opportunities and potential risks that are difficult to predict when applying AI; identify appropriate and timely policy responses so that Vietnam can master AI technology, build a Vietnamese AI model in the profound language of Vietnam, aiming to build a sustainable AI development environment, for the benefit of the nation, community and society.

According to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, AI is becoming an indispensable part of the process of establishing a new growth model and the operation, governance, and management of the country's socio-economy, bringing a "golden opportunity" for Vietnam to make a breakthrough in development.
However, to turn potential into reality, there needs to be the support of the entire ecosystem, from the country's strategy and policies, to implementation in businesses, institutes, academies, schools and the social community.
"AI cannot develop sustainably without responsibility, ethics, and a clear humanitarian orientation. Technology is a tool, people are the goal, the decisive factor; because even when possessing the "unlimited" power that many people believe, AI is still a product created by humans" - Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized.
