On the afternoon of September 1, at the Presidential Palace, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong received Politburo member and Chief People's Artist of China Zhao Lusi, who is on an official visit to Vietnam, attending the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, co-chairing the first meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Artist of China.
At the meeting, President Luong Cuong and Chief Member Trieu Lac Te agreed that the friendship and intimacy between the two Parties and countries are increasingly being consolidated and strengthened; key leaders of the two Parties and two countries regularly meet and exchange strategies and have achieved a common understanding of building a Community of Shared Future Vietnam - China with strategic significance in the direction of "6 more".
The two sides highly appreciated the results of the first meeting. The Committee for Cooperation between the two legislative bodies, believing that the success of the meeting is a new development milestone in cooperation between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China, contributing significantly to the development of the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries.
The President suggested that the two sides strengthen solidarity and coordinate in implementing high-level agreements reached between the two Parties and the two countries. The President hopes that the two sides will continuously consolidate the good political foundation that the two parties and countries have worked hard to foster; in which, well implementing high-level delegation exchanges between the two countries; and further enhancing substantial cooperation in defense - security - foreign affairs.
Closely coordinate to organize a good first meeting of the dialogue mechanism at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs - National Defense - Public Security; continue to further promote the role of the legislative bodies of the two countries in building an open legal corridor and policies, facilitating cooperation in various fields, especially for key cooperation projects, typical in the Vietnam - China relationship such as 3 projects to build standard gauge railway lines connecting the two countries.
The President also suggested that the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China increase the exchange of experiences in legislative work and supervision and implementation of professional tasks.
Regarding the East Sea issue, the President hopes that the two sides will properly handle the disagreement, maintain a peaceful and stable environment, and not affect the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries.
Chief member Trieu Lac Te affirmed that China is ready to strengthen contacts with Vietnam at high and all levels, constantly consolidate political trust, strengthen substantive cooperation, and strengthen friendship between the two peoples.
As the Supreme People's Assembly, the National People's Congress of China will coordinate and facilitate relevant agencies to promote enhanced strategic connectivity, transport infrastructure, trade, investment, bringing practical benefits to the two countries; continue to closely coordinate with the National Assembly of Vietnam to effectively implement high-level common perceptions, concretize the results of the first meeting, continue to deepen the exchange of friendship and practical cooperation between the two legislative bodies, contributing to promoting the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, the Community of Shared Future of China - Vietnam with strategic significance to continuously develop more deeply and substantially in the coming time.
