Vietnam considers reopening the Embassy in Uzbekistan

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that he will consider reopening the Vietnamese Embassy in Uzbekistan soon.

In the framework of the official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the afternoon of 8.4, local time, Member of the Politburo, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Lady Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga and the high -ranking delegation of the National Assembly of Vietnam met officials and employees of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation, concurrently Uzbekistan and the Vietnamese community in Uzbekistan.

According to VNA, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man sent the Ambassador, the Embassy staff and the entire Vietnamese community in Uzbekistan warm and affectionate senders from his homeland.

Information to people about the achievements of the country after nearly 40 years of renovation, the Chairman of the National Assembly said that despite many difficulties and challenges from the impacts of the world and regional political and economic situation, under the leadership of the Party and the solidarity and unanimity of the whole political system, the country has achieved important results on socio -economic development. In 2024, GDP growth reached 7.09%. The per capita income of nearly 4,700 USD belongs to a group of countries with high growth rate in the region and the world, highly appreciated by many international organizations.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized: "Achieving this result is the effort of the entire Party, people, and army, including the important contributions of the overseas Vietnamese community".

Appreciating the Vietnamese community in Uzbekistan for always being united, living, studying and working stably in the host country, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that this is an important bridge for the relationship between the two countries in the past, present and future.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated: The consistent policy of our Party and State is to always care for and consider the overseas Vietnamese community as an inseparable part, an important factor contributing to strengthening cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and other countries.

The National Assembly has amended and supplemented many new regulations and policies for overseas Vietnamese such as the Law on Identification, the amended Land Law... stipulating that all Vietnamese citizens are granted a ID card, regardless of whether they are living in the country or abroad; land policies for overseas Vietnamese who are Vietnamese citizens are the same as domestic individuals.

Stating the visit of the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly to Uzbekistan with the desire to comprehensively upgrade relations with Central Asian countries in all fields, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that he would consider opening a direct flight between Vietnam and Uzbekistan and soon reopening the Vietnamese Embassy in Uzbekistan.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man hopes that people will continue to promote the tradition of mutual love, solidarity, compliance with local laws, contributing to the development of Uzbekistan and the Vietnam - Uzbekistan relationship; preserving Vietnamese language and national cultural identity; continuing to contribute enthusiastically and intellectually to the cause of building and developing the homeland.
