Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province informed that in the first quarter of 2025, the socio-economic development, national defense - security situation in the province will have many bright spots. "Con Dao's location is a frontline island, very important for security and defense; maximizing advantages for developing the marine economy, developing spiritual tourism and eco-tourism; so it is necessary to plan and build Con Dao bright, green, clean, beautiful, modern, and of international stature," the Prime Minister commented.
According to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, with great development potential, the head of Con Dao needs to be determined, quick, bold, work responsibly, have to come up with specific products and results... Along with developing medical infrastructure, education, culture, and society, it is also necessary to pay attention to the supply of electricity, telecommunications waves, clean water, waste treatment and especially building Con Dao without drugs.
