On 3.5, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in collaboration with the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Mobilization Department, the Ministry of Defense, the National Liaison Committee of the Revolutionary Soldier of Vietnam were arrested and imprisoned by the enemy to organize the gratitude to the revolutionary soldiers who were imprisoned by the enemy on the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Con Dao (1.5.1975 - 1.5.2025).
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the working delegation attended the meeting to pay tribute to more than 700 teachers and uncles representing more than 3,100 revolutionary soldiers captured by the enemy and their relatives, from 49 provinces and cities across the country.

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, respectfully sent his warmest greetings, respectful Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, former political prisoners, war invalids, relatives of martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution, etc.
In the cause of national liberation, millions of outstanding children of the nation have heroically fought, sacrificed, and donated blood and bones to the Fatherland. In which, former political prisoners are shining examples of the qualities and air of indomitable and resilient revolutionary soldiers...
"You, your brothers and sisters, have spent your entire youth put aside your personal dreams and are ready to sacrifice for the Fatherland. Famous prizes and jails in the ceiling such as Hoa Lo, Son La, Con Dao, Phu Quoc, Chi Hoa, Phu Loi, Tan Hiep, Thu Duc... still cannot extinguish the revolutionary fire, cannot subdue the will of soldiers and patriotic people. Con Dao prison alone, which has existed for more than 113 years, has detained more than 200,000 political prisoners, and many of them have remained here forever...", Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized.
According to the Prime Minister, the spirit and will of the doctors, the brothers and sisters will never be tomorrow, but will forever last, to receive, promote and spread tomorrow. Hopefully, with a strong political bravery, indomitable spiritual spirit, the doctors, brothers and sisters continue to contribute their efforts and intelligence to build and defend the Fatherland; Continuing to be a shining example of educating children, grandchildren, and young people about the heroic tradition, the sacrifices of blood and blood of the generations of their fathers.
At the same time, the Prime Minister requested departments, ministries, branches and localities to promote the tradition of " use gratitude in responding to Merit", continue to pay attention to resolving policies well, take care of the material and spiritual life of comrades and soldiers imprisoned by the enemy, families of war invalids and martyrs; do a good policy for people with meritorious services with an increasingly better regime.
