Improving the overall quality of human resources
On the afternoon of April 7, in Hanoi, the State Audit Office (SAO) coordinated with the National Assembly Deputies Affairs Committee and the National Assembly Office to organize a Conference to announce the National Assembly's Resolution on the election of the General SAO for the 2026-2031 term for Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia.
Attending the Conference were Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Central Party Committee members: Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Hong Dien, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Hong, former State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan; Secretary General of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Manh; Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Bui Van Nghiem; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc.
On the side of SAV, there were Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia - Member of the Party Central Committee, General SAV; Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy General SAV Bui Quoc Dung; Deputy General SAVs: Ha Thi My Dung, Doan Anh Tho, Tran Minh Khuong.
At the Conference, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Manh announced Resolution No. 07/2026/QH16 of the National Assembly on the election of the General Auditor of the State for the 2026-2031 term for Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia.
On behalf of the National Assembly leaders, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented the National Assembly's Resolution on personnel work to Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia; and presented flowers to congratulate Mr. Ngo Van Tuan and Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia.
In the coming time, the National Assembly Chairwoman requested the new General KTNN Nguyen Huu Nghia and the Party Committee of KTNN, KTNN leaders to focus on performing well a number of tasks.
In which, continue to improve the legal system of the SAV, ensure that the audit institution has sufficient capacity to meet the requirements of inspection and supervision of the management and use of public finance and public assets, strictly implement the SAV Law and develop the SAV Development Strategy to 2040, with a vision to 2045.
Improve the comprehensive quality of human resources, build a team of state auditors "Ethiness - Mind - Vision - Talent"; political ideology, qualities, professional capacity must be solid, and there must be ethics in the profession.
Not only stopping at detecting violations, but also improving forecasting and analysis capabilities.
The National Assembly Chairwoman also requested to innovate and improve the operational efficiency of the SAV, proactively audit early and remotely, not only stopping at detecting violations but also improving forecasting, analysis, and proposing to improve mechanisms and policies. Promote the application of science and technology, digital transformation, and application of artificial intelligence (AI) in auditing.
Promoting tradition, continuing to strengthen cooperation with the highest auditing agencies in the world. Strengthening publicity and transparency of audit results. "The important thing is how units and localities must implement after auditing to overcome the inadequacies pointed out by the SAV" - the National Assembly Chairwoman stated clearly.
Also at the Conference, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man thanked and appreciated Mr. Ngo Van Tuan's work process as well as his contributions to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee, to the SAV sector in the past 3 years; and congratulated him on being assigned a new task, continuing to promote his capacity and complete the assigned tasks.
Speaking to receive the assignment, new General KTNN Nguyen Huu Nghia expressed his deep gratitude to the National Assembly and National Assembly deputies for trusting and trusting him to elect him to hold the position of General KTNN. "This is a great honor, and also a very heavy responsibility entrusted by the Party, State and People" - new General KTNN Nguyen Huu Nghia expressed.
