The journey of more than 1,000 nautical miles, passing through island destinations such as Song Tu Tay, Da Thi, Sinh Ton, Co Lin, Len Dao, Truong Sa Da and DK1/2 Phuc Tan Bridge House, has become a vivid symbol of patriotism, the close relationship between the mainland and the front lines of the sea and islands.
This business trip took place in the atmosphere of the whole country rejoice towards the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) - a dazzling milestone in the history of the Vietnamese nation. The journey to Truong Sa - the first route of the country - therefore becomes more sacred and proud than ever. In the heart of each member of the mission, the love of the sea and islands, national pride and responsibility for the country as multiplied.
Agribank's working delegation this time included Comrade Phung Thi Binh - Head of Agribank's working delegation, Deputy General Director of Agribank; representatives of advisory and support agencies of the Agribank Party Committee; leaders of Departments and Centers at the Head Office and some branches in the entire system; bringing material gifts and hearts, pride and will to accompany Agribank with the soldiers at the head of the storm.
With a tradition of more than 37 years of attachment to the armed forces and deep social responsibility, Agribank is always a pioneer in activities towards the homeland's sea and islands. During this working trip, Agribank continued to affirm its role as a loyal companion, contributing to spreading the spirit of patriotism and responsibility towards national sovereignty.
At destinations such as Song Tu Tay, Sinh Ton, Da Thi, Len Dao and Truong Sa, the Agribank working group led by Comrade Phung Thi Binh presented hundreds of gifts, including essential items and spiritual gifts, expressing deep concern for the lives of soldiers and people on remote islands.
At Co Lin Island - where he witnessed the battle of a sea battle in 1988, Mr. Phung Thi Binh shared: “Standing on the sacred land of Co Lin Island, we not only feel the resilience of the soldiers but also deeply understand the values of peace and sovereignty. The situation of the sea and islands, the comrades are still steady at the beginning of the wave, always successfully completed the assigned tasks ”.
The Deputy General Director of Agribank said that the trip to Truong Sa was an opportunity for Agribank to penetrate more deeply his responsibility. The feelings of more than 40,000 cadres, party members and workers in the whole Agribank system are always towards the sea and islands, which are sent in works and social security programs and financial support for fishermen. From building a multi-purpose cultural house on Co Lin Island worth nearly 40 billion VND, supporting medical equipment for hospitals in Truong Sa archipelago, to accompanying the "Truong Sa Greening" program, all of which demonstrate Agribank's sense of responsibility towards the homeland.
In particular, the program of giving thousands of national flags to fishermen in Truong Sa, DK1 Ship House and traditional coastal areas has become a symbol of solidarity. At Truong Sa island fishing port, the red flags with yellow stars were presented to fishermen by Agribank representatives, as if sending confidence and strength so that they can continue to go offshore and stick to the sea, becoming "lifelines" affirming sovereignty in the East Sea.
Not only bringing gifts, Agribank also sent to Truong Sa warm hearts and practical actions. Agribank officers participating in the journey have actively contributed to the activities of the people's army such as giving gifts to households on the island, telling stories about the history of the banking industry in the resistance, or performing simple but emotional performance.
