The PETROVIETNAM 2026 sports festival in the Northern region held a closing ceremony, summary and award ceremony for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements. The sports festival was attended by more than 1,200 athletes from 22 member units, directly under the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (PETROVIETNAM).
Participating in the Sports Festival, the sports delegation of Vietnam National Refining and Petrochemical Group (BSR) has 63 athletes, competing in 7 sports including table tennis, badminton, pickleball, swimming, athletics, chess and Chinese chess.
With serious preparation, determined and united fighting spirit, BSR athletes achieved outstanding results with 7 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 15 bronze medals, thereby excellently winning second place overall.
Assessing the achievements of the BSR delegation, Ms. Truong Thi Thu Ha - Chairwoman of the BSR Trade Union - said that the achievement of second place overall and 29 medals of all kinds is a very encouraging result, showing the spirit of solidarity, determination and efforts of all BSR athletes.
Behind each medal is a serious training process, the encouragement and cheers of leaders, the Trade Union and employees of the Corporation. This is not only a achievement in a Sports Festival but also contributes to spreading the spirit of health training, building a cultural life and strengthening the cohesion in the collective of BSR employees. BSR Trade Union will continue to accompany and create conditions for the sports movement to develop more and more, becoming a motivation for employees to be healthy, united and join hands to successfully complete production and business tasks," Ms. Thu Ha said.
In the end, the NSRP delegation excellently won the overall championship; BSR and PTSC both won second place; PETROVIETNAM Management and Operation apparatus, PVOIL and PVcomBank tied for third place.
PETROVIETNAM 2026 sports festival in the Northern region closed, but the values of solidarity, health training, exchange and building corporate culture continue to spread. This is a meaningful activity, contributing to building a team of PETROVIETNAM employees who are physically healthy, mentally strong, joining hands and hearts to successfully implement the production and business goals and develop the Group in the coming time.
