Forum "Unlocking resources with green transformation businesses"

In the context of the global acceleration of the transition to a low-carbon and sustainable economy, Vietnam is no exception to this trend. However, in reality, most small and medium-sized enterprises - which account for a large proportion of the country's business structure - are still facing many difficulties in transforming towards "greening".

In order to promote comprehensive green transformation, especially in the private enterprise sector, the People's Representative Newspaper coordinated with relevant units to organize the Forum "Unlocking resources with green transformation enterprises", scheduled to take place at 8:30 - 11:30 on April 22, 2025 in Hanoi with the participation of Vietnam Gas Corporation - JSC (PV GAS).

Create a foundation for connection and real action

The forum aims to create a multi-dimensional dialogue space between policymakers, sustainability experts, businesses, investors and international organizations. Thereby, the program hopes:

Promote public-private cooperation models in the fields of renewable energy, clean production, and green infrastructure;

Providing updated information on support policies and green transformation trends domestically and internationally;

Sharing practical experiences and successful conversion models;

Suggesting solutions to access green finance, technology, and support resources for businesses.

At the forum, many practical issues of businesses will be discussed in depth, including common difficulties such as: high initial investment costs, lack of expertise, barriers to access capital, or unsynchronized support from public policies. In particular, the fear of not having immediate profits is also a barrier that makes many businesses slow to transform.

However, accompanying challenges is always an opportunity. Green transformation is not only a requirement of the times, but also a strategic direction to help businesses increase their competitiveness, build sustainable brands and access global markets to increasingly promote environmental factors.

The program will also introduce lessons from Germany and the EU - pioneering countries in policies to support businesses in greening production, promoting research and development and implementing green financial mechanisms. These will be valuable experiences for Vietnamese enterprises to refer to and apply in accordance with the domestic context.

With the participation of delegates from the Government, ministries, branches, experts, businesses and domestic and foreign organizations, the forum promises to be an important opportunity to act together for a more sustainable development future.
