Spreading the habit of saving electricity
As a power sector management unit in the Central - Central Highlands region, the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) has clearly demonstrated its pioneering role, proactively implementing many practical and creative programs to contribute to the effective implementation of the National Program on Energy Saving and Efficient Use for the period 2019 - 2030.

In particular, in 2024, EVNCPC not only successfully completed the energy saving targets but also pioneered innovation in communication work, synchronously coordinating with localities, units, and people to turn the slogan into a specific, practical action.
EVNCPC has coordinated with localities to implement the "electricity-saving household" program, which is one of the bright spots in promoting electricity-saving behavior among residents. The program has attracted more than 500,000 households in 13 provinces and cities in the Central - Central Highlands to participate, creating a wave of practical and effective action.
With a modern, multi-channel approach from customer care applications, seminars, and direct consultation to digital communication platforms, the program not only provides knowledge but also directly guides people on how to save electricity simply and easily.
Small actions such as turning off lights when not in use, replacing LED lights, using high-performance equipment... are gradually becoming a daily habit in families.
Outstanding results of more than 2,000 households winning prizes, saving 69.1 million kWh of electricity in the dry season of 2024, this is also the time when the power system is under the highest pressure.
The Household Power Savings Program is a very meaningful program, not only reducing monthly living expenses of households but also contributing to raising awareness and changing people's electricity usage habits towards more saving and being more reasonable. Thereby, helping households have a green, clean, civilized and modern lifestyle through safe, efficient, economical use of electricity and environmental protection.
Through the program, we also spread the emulation movement to save electricity, replicate models and initiatives in practicing effective electricity saving of households, positively affecting the awareness of saving electricity of the social community" - Mr. Le Hoang Anh Dung, Deputy General Director of EVNCPC said.
Not stopping there, EVNCPC also coordinates to implement meaningful social programs such as "Lighting up rural roads", sponsoring the replacement of public lighting with LED lights, supporting the household electricity system for 1,566 poor households and policy families, while integrating power saving propaganda into annual customer appreciation activities demonstrating the Corporation's deep sense of social responsibility.
Leverage for electricity saving awareness
One of the important milestones in EVNCPC's energy-saving and efficient use in 2024 is its modern, synchronous and multi-platform communication strategy.

EVNCPC has launched a series of large-scale communication campaigns, associated with events such as the Earth Hour 2024 Campaign, the program "Students with knowledge of safe - economical - efficient use of electricity", the emulation movement "Family of union members save electricity"...
In particular, the propaganda program in schools has made a strong impression, attracting 57,967 entries from primary, secondary and high school students.
Through painting products, propaganda clips and presentations, students not only access knowledge of saving electricity in a vivid way but also become "child propagandists" to spread the message to family and society. The contest has truly proven the effectiveness of communication in the school environment, a place to sow awareness for future generations.
In addition, EVNCPC has also promoted communication work on digital platforms with outstanding quantity and quality: 117 articles were published in the "electricity saving" section on the Corporation's website; 427 articles and reports in newspapers; more than 250 digital communication content ( video clips, infographics, paintings) were widely shared on fanpages, internal groups and social networking groups...
Not stopping at passive communication, EVNCPC also proactively organizes competitions, seminars, interactive activities such as instructions on using electricity for saving energy via applications/website, organizing radios, mobile loudspeakers... helping to reach nearly 2 million customers across the region.
A notable highlight is that at the Earth Hour 2024 event, EVNCPC recorded an electricity output of 48,900 kWh, an increase of 19.6% compared to 2023, demonstrating the effectiveness of communication spread combined with specific actions.
The results achieved show that EVNCPC not only saves electricity but is building a responsible energy consumption culture in the whole society.
