The 2024 Association Work Summary Conference aims to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).
Attending the conference were comrade Bui Ngoc Duong - Member of the Party Executive Committee of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of BSR; comrade Khuong Le Thanh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the BSR Veterans Association; comrade Pham Minh Nghia - Member of the Party Standing Committee, Deputy General Director of BSR; together with the Factory's Board of Directors, the Executive Committee of the Veterans Association, representatives of the Trade Union, Youth Union and members of the Veterans Association of the unit.
In 2024, in political and ideological work, the BSR Veterans Association has promoted the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", united, proactive, creative, and effectively organized and implemented patriotic emulation movements. The Association has organized the dissemination and propaganda of the Party and State's policies, directives and resolutions of the Party Committee and the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group Veterans Association.
At the same time, encourage members to uphold the revolutionary tradition, the spirit of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", actively participate in activities and complete all assigned tasks. In particular, coordinate with the Youth Union, organize exchanges and discussions to review the glorious historical values of the Party, educate the ideology of cadres, members and youth union members in the determination to protect the Party, and carry out well the political tasks of BSR.
Over the past year, the Association has also visited, encouraged and given gifts to members in difficult circumstances and those suffering from serious illnesses before the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024. At the same time, it has implemented a good visiting regime and support regimes for retired members...
In particular, the Veterans Association has created and initiated many practical solutions, contributing to BSR's production and business activities, helping to reduce daily production costs by over 10 billion VND and bringing productivity and efficiency to the factory.
In 2024, the BSR Veterans Association also always upholds the exemplary spirit, thereby, no member violates and contributes positively to the overall achievements of BSR.
In addition, the establishment of the Shock Team promotes the nature and tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" on the new front of "production and business" and actively supports the work of ensuring order, safety and fire prevention during the 5th general maintenance phase of Dung Quat Oil Refinery.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Bui Ngoc Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of BSR acknowledged and commended the spirit of the Veterans Association in setting an example and being enthusiastic in BSR's political and business tasks in 2024. The Veterans Association is also a solid support, a shining example, taking the lead in performing tasks for employees to follow.
In particular, during the 5th general maintenance of Dung Quat Refinery, the Veterans Association took the lead in controlling security and order, ensuring safety for the plant. Thereby, contributing to the overall success of the maintenance and achieving more than 49 million safe working hours of Dung Quat Refinery.
In 2025, the BSR Veterans Association sets the goal of promoting the achievements, preserving and promoting the nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", actively participating in building and protecting the Party, government, and socialist regime, being exemplary in labor production, contributing with employees to complete the Company's production and business plan, determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the BSR Party Congress.
Make learning and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example a regular activity. Launch a labor emulation movement in the entire Association of War Veterans in the implementation of the Dung Quat Oil Refinery Upgrade and Expansion Project...
Concluding the conference, Comrade Khuong Le Thanh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the BSR Veterans Association emphasized that in 2025, the Veterans Association will continue to maintain the spirit of being a shining example for employees. At the same time, actively promote the values of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", uphold the spirit of soldiers to continue to dedicate and contribute to the development of BSR in the following years. Thereby, continue to strive to successfully complete the assigned political tasks in 2025.
Also at the conference, the BSR Veterans Association reviewed the values and traditions of our army and people.
