In 2024, MobiFone's pre-tax profit is estimated to exceed the plan by 20.1%; State budget contribution exceeds the assigned plan by 56.7%. Both of the above targets have grown compared to the same period in 2023, demonstrating MobiFone's tireless efforts in stopping the downward trend, gradually recovering and growing in the context of many market difficulties.
MobiFone's digital services sector also witnessed strong growth in many products and services. Notable among them were the MobiFone Meet platform which grew by 1050%, Cloud services which grew by 312%, mobiAgri services which grew by 49% and MobiFone invoice which grew by 58%.
This achievement is due to the consensus and determination of the entire MoibiFone, from the strong direction of the Corporation's leaders to the spirit of continuous efforts, innovation and creativity of the officers and employees. The results achieved in 2024 not only strengthen MobiFone's position but also create the basis for increasing the salary fund, helping to increase income and improve the lives of workers.
5G Breakthrough - Opening the Future
The most prominent mark of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation in 2024 is the decision to upgrade and convert to 5G technology. After a testing period in many provinces and cities across the country, and winning the auction for the right to use the 3800 - 3900 MHz frequency band, the Corporation quickly built and immediately implemented a comprehensive and scientific 5G development plan, ensuring coverage of all activities from product preparation, searching for potential customers, strengthening the distribution channel system to operations and engineering. The investment plan was carefully prepared, synchronized with the upgrade of the 4G network, and divided into many stages corresponding to business scenarios in each locality.
MobiFone's determination to focus on investing in 5G is not only a mandatory requirement to keep up with the trend, but also demonstrates the Corporation's determination to affirm its pioneering mission of creating a foundation to promote the country's digital transformation.
New space opens up MobiFone digital ecosystem
In 2024, MobiFone made a strong mark in its strategy of “attacking new spaces”, affirming its determination to transform from a traditional telecommunications network to a dynamic and modern digital technology corporation. The Corporation has launched a series of breakthrough digital products and services, building a MobiFone digital ecosystem that fully meets the needs of a digital society.
In 2024, the Corporation also had initial achievements in researching, deploying and building AI Platform with 7 outstanding solutions, including: Anti-facial fraud solution in financial transactions, Enterprise virtual assistant platform, Transaction room monitoring solution, Smart parking solution, Security monitoring solution - Building, Security monitoring solution - Industrial park, Traffic monitoring solution. Also in 2024, MobiFone was licensed by the Ministry of Information and Communications to trade in network information security products and services and deploy business of Network Security services.
With determination and continuous efforts, at the Ceremony to announce products achieving the title of Vietnam National Brand, MobiFone was honored for the third consecutive time with 5 breakthrough product brands: MobiFone Telecommunications Services, mobiEdu, ClipTV, mobiAgri and MobiFone Digital Platform. In particular, the MobiEdu online education ecosystem and MobiFone Meet online meeting platform were recognized by the Ministry of Information and Communications as potential national digital platforms, supporting the successful implementation of major conferences of the Party and State with tens of thousands of connection points across the country. Notably, the National Conference to disseminate the Resolution of the 10th Central Party Conference with more than 14,934 connection points and 1.2 million delegates attending. With stable signals and high security, MobiFone Meet not only meets strict technical requirements but also affirms MobiFone's position in providing potential national digital technology solutions, contributing to promoting comprehensive digital transformation.
