2025 marks a memorable milestone of a decade since the Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank)'s Dream Incubation Fund was officially established. On this meaningful occasion, the Fund continues to sponsor 10 more poor and studious students in Hanoi, Bac Ninh, and Hai Phong, bringing the total number of students supported to 219.
The 10-year journey is a clear demonstration of SeABank's commitment to the journey to fulfill community responsibility and spread the value of love.
The persistent journey to enlight knowledge
The SeABank Dream Upgrade Scholarship Fund was established in 2015 with the desire to accompany and support children in difficult circumstances but strive to improve their studies. Since its inception, the Fund has awarded scholarships for lifelong high school education worth 1 million VND/month/student until high school is over.
Currently, this scholarship has increased to 1.5 million VND/month/student. Along with that, the Fund also supported 10 million VND in startup scholarships for each graduate student to continue supporting them in their future journey, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of society.
From a humane idea, the Dream Seed Fund has become a symbol of spreading good living values at SeABank, connecting loving hearts in the community to support future seeds.
As each year passes, not only the number of students receiving support increases, but the affection and heart for the community of SeABank employees is also increasingly replicated. In 2025, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary, the Fund will continue to sponsor 10 more poor and studious students in Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, bringing the total number of sponsors to 219.
After the research process, the 10 children were awarded scholarships by the Fund not only because of their special circumstances but also because of their Adorable determination and persistent learning spirit. New students will officially receive scholarships to encourage their studies starting from July 2025 and lasting until the end of high school. The entire scholarship will be transferred to their sponsors.
Among the students sponsored by the Fund this time, the case of Nguyen Hai Thuy Ngan (Bac Ninh) is particularly difficult as she has no father, and her mother has a serious illness but is the main breadwinner of the family. The income depends on the job of washing dishes for hire at the restaurant, raising two children and elderly parents alone, who are unable to work. Despite difficult family circumstances, Ngan is an excellent student of class 6A at Lim Secondary School (Bac Ninh), winning the Encouragement Prize for Literature in the Last School Year's Excellent Student Competition and is always loved by friends and teachers.
Although they seem to be easily overthrown by circumstances, Ngan and many studious students who are being supported by the Fund are living proof of the power of will and knowledge.
Together, continue the journey for the community
Over the past decade, the Fund has accompanied 219 disadvantaged students on their journey to conquer knowledge, through the form of giving monthly scholarships. To date, the total amount of money the Fund has supported the students is nearly 13 billion VND. Not only financial support, each scholarship is also a word of encouragement, a trusting handshake from SeABank employees who are always ready to share.
Currently, 59 of them have graduated from high school, many of whom continue to study at university and college, opening the door for their once seemingly distant dreams.
In the 2024 National High School Exam, Nguyen Thu Trang (who received support from the Fund since 2018) passed all exams with a high score, achieving 28.8 points for all majors that she registered for admission. However, the determined student chose to study Digital Marketing at the University of Commerce in the form of admission based on transcripts and IELTS certificates.
Trang grew up without enough care from her mother, she lived with her grandmother and father. When he was in grade 11, his grandmother passed away, leaving him with only two father and children depending on each other, and his father had no stable job. Despite the difficulties, Trang still tries hard every day, has been an excellent student for many years and has always maintained the top achievement in class.
In the journey to the present, I will always remember that I am not alone, that I always receive support from people who are dedicated to the development of the young generation like the teachers and uncles working at SeABank. With the support from the Golden Heart Fund, I will be able to confidently continue on the path of knowledge. I hope that one day in the near future, I can also contribute a small part of my efforts to the community, just like the way SeABank has been doing, Trang confided when receiving a Startup Scholarship from the Fund.
Education is considered the foundation for the future, a solid launching pad for the younger generation to change their lives, that is also the reason why the dream Incubation Fund was established. SeABank's support with students is not only a tuition support, but also a sustainable commitment, a source of motivation to give them the strength to practice themselves, live responsibly, and improve their skills to become useful people for society in the future, contributing to the community.
The vast sky outside is waiting for the small but powerful and confident bird to spread its wings and the sprouting Dream Fund believes that each student will have a bright and happy future and become a brave, intelligent, enthusiastic citizen with the desire to contribute to building the country.
