The construction time is expected to take place from 06:00 to 12:00 on Monday, September 29, 2025. In case of bad weather due to storm Rasaga, it will be postponed to 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
During that time, vehicles will be regulated and shifted to provincial and national highways instead of traveling on the expressway from Mai Son intersection to Gia Mieu intersection.
Vehicles traveling on the main expressway will be regulated as follows:
North - South: Vehicles exit the expressway at Mai Son intersection (Km274+390, turn right onto Provincial Road 491 to the old Ninh Binh city, then turn left at the roundabout to National Highway 1A. The expressway can be re-merged at Gia Mieu intersection or subsequent intersections.
South - North direction: Vehicles exit the expressway at Gia Mieu intersection (Km295+800), turn right onto National Highway 217B and continue moving north. The expressway can be re-merged at Mai Son intersection or further intersections.
For vehicles traveling on expressway branch routes:
At Mai Son intersection (Km274+390): Vehicles traveling in the North-South direction are not allowed to enter the expressway, but continue on Provincial Road 491 (the route avoiding the old Ninh Binh city) to National Highway 1A to move south. The expressway can be re-merged at Mai Son intersection or further intersections. Vehicles traveling in the South - North direction enter the expressway and circulate normally.
At Dong Giao intersection (Km283+878): All vehicles traveling in both North - South and South - North will continue to move on Hoa Lu Avenue to National Highway 1A. Depending on the direction of travel, the expressway can be re-merged at Gia Mieu intersection, Mai Son intersection or subsequent intersections.
At Gia Mieu intersection (Km395+800): Vehicles traveling in the North - South direction enter the expressway and circulate normally. Vehicles traveling in the South - North direction are not allowed to enter the expressway, continue on National Highway 217B to exit National Highway 1A.
To ensure the safety of people and vehicles, people are advised to strictly follow signs, traffic signals and instructions of authorities in construction areas.
