According to Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (TKV), in Tra Vinh, Chairman of the Member Council Ngo Hoang Ngan and the working delegation of TKV Group just had a working session and actual inspection at Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company (under Power Generation Corporation 1 - EVNGENCO1) on the supply, receipt and assurance of coal fuel sources for electricity production.
On the side of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), there were Chairman of EVN Member Council Dang Hoang An; Deputy General Director of EVN Pham Le Phu, along with leaders of EVNGENCO1 and Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company.
In the first 6 months of 2026, the electricity production of Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company reached more than 9.29 billion kWh (reaching 101.1% of the dry season plan).
Based on actual inspections at the coal import port and coal warehouse area of the plant, leaders of the two Groups focused on exchanging and agreeing on the coordination of supply and receipt to optimize the supply chain for Duyen Hai 1, 3 and 3 extended power plants.
Chairman of TKV Member Council Ngo Hoang Ngan affirmed that TKV always clearly identifies the core political task of ensuring sufficient coal supply for electricity production, and at the same time proactively accompanying EVN to ensure national energy security.
For power plants in the Southern region in general and Duyen Hai Thermal Power in particular, TKV will continue to closely direct member units, especially Northern Coal Trading Joint Stock Company - Vinacomin, to proactively balance goods sources, regulate reasonable delivery and control the quality of coal compatible with the plant's technology.
TKV leaders also requested EVNGENCO1 and Duyen Hai Thermal Power to continue to review and forecast needs closely according to the operating method of the power system so that the two sides can coordinate smoothly and promptly handle arising problems, and prevent fuel shortages.
Agreeing with this view, Chairman of EVN Member Council Dang Hoang An expressed his appreciation for TKV's coordination and companionship over the past time. EVN leaders also requested units under EVNGENCO1 to proactively improve the capacity to receive coal at the port, manage warehouses synchronously to best coordinate with TKV's delivery progress, ensuring the highest operating efficiency for the units.
