On the morning of February 24, Lao Dong reporters recorded on Tran Nhan Tong street (Hanoi), precious metal business stores were bustling with people coming in and out to register to buy silver as the price of this item has increased sharply in recent sessions.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan (living in Hai Ba Trung ward) said that he decided to register to buy after considering the market developments. "In the past few days, I have seen the price of silver continuously increase, so I decided to register to buy. The store scheduled to return it on August 5, 2026 and each person is only allowed to order a maximum of 5 kg, so I registered within that level" - Mr. Tuan said.

According to Mr. Tuan, he chose to buy 3 1 kg silver ingots as savings and to make transactions more convenient later. "Now I have to wait until the appointment date to receive the goods, but I have calculated it in advance so it does not affect my spending plan" - he shared.

Meanwhile, Ms. Le Thu Huong (Bach Mai ward, Hanoi) said that this year she switched to buying silver on the occasion of the God of Wealth instead of gold as before. "Seeing that this year silver is also attracting buyers, the price has increased sharply, so I switched to buying silver. Each person is allowed to order up to 5 kg, so I registered within the limit" - Ms. Huong said.

Also at a silver shop on Tran Nhan Tong street, Ms. Bui Thi Mai (living in Hoan Kiem ward) shared that she has maintained the habit of buying silver monthly since November 2025.

Every time I come to buy, I have to wait. At the beginning of February, I ordered 5 taels and was scheduled to have the goods until mid-June. Today, at the end of the month, I came to buy more, but the store scheduled to return the goods at the beginning of August" - Ms. Mai said.

According to Ms. Mai, having to wait until the appointment day to receive the money does not affect much because she determines that this is a savings amount. "If I urgently need money, I can still resell the invoice to the store" - she said.
