    Bao Tin Minh Chau listed gold rings at 143.5-147.5 million VND/tael. The buying price decreased by 16.3 million VND/tael and the selling price decreased by 15.3 million VND/tael compared to January 15.

    Gold ring buyers at this brand are suffering a loss of 19.3 million VND/tael.

    In Phu Quy, the price of gold rings was listed at 144-147.5 million VND/tael. After 6 months, the buying price decreased by 14 million VND/tael, and the selling price decreased by 13.5 million VND/tael.

    Following the trend of the domestic market, world gold prices fell from 4,609.9 USD/ounce on January 15 to 4,032.4 USD/ounce on July 15. Thus, the price of the precious metal has decreased by 568.5 USD/ounce, equivalent to about 12.4% after 6 months.

    This development shows that buying gold at high prices poses great risks, especially during a period of strong market volatility. People should not run after the fear of missing opportunities (FOMO), borrow money or pour all capital to buy gold when prices rise sharply.

    Besides the risk of price continued adjustment, the buying - selling difference is currently commonly from 3-4 million VND/tael, causing buyers to suffer losses immediately after trading. In case world gold prices continue to fall deeply, the domestic gold market may face additional adjustment pressure, increasing losses for buyers in high price zones.
