Doji Hanoi Jewelry was listed at 41.40 million VND/tael (down 200,000 VND for buying) and 41.90 million VND/tael (maintained for selling) compared to the previous morning session.
Ho Chi Minh City SJC listed at 41.60 million VND/tael (down 80,000 VND/tael for buying) and 41.90 million VND/tael (down 30,000 VND for selling) compared to the morning session on October 11.
The world gold price today, October 12, immediately stood at 1.485.730 USD/oz for buying and 1.486.110 USD/oz for selling (down 9.96 USD/oz in both directions).
Converted to USD at Vietcombank (23,260 VND/USD), the world gold price is equivalent to 41.73 million VND/tael, 290,000 VND/tael lower than the selling price of SJC gold.
Gold continues to plummet as the US and China resume talks in Washington after a week of rising tensions.
Mr. Trump said that trade negotiations with China have made really good progress and he will meet the Chinese vice president at the White House. Meanwhile, Beijing also clearly demonstrated its sincere goodwill when entering an important negotiation round to reach an end to the trade war, resolving the long-standing disagreement with Washington.
The US and China seem ready to move towards a partial deal and put aside controversial issues in future discussions. However, Trump said he prefers a more comprehensive deal.
