Waiting 3 days still can't buy gold ring
According to Lao Dong reporters at 3:00 p.m. today (September 23), the number of customers coming to gold and gemstone stores in Hanoi is quite large, but there are very few transactions because most customers only come to buy 9999 plain round gold rings. However, most stores are in a state of "out of stock".
After waiting for many days but still unable to buy gold rings, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Lan (Cau Giay, Hanoi) shared: "It is very difficult to buy gold now. I have been to gold and silver stores around Cau Giay for the past 3 days but have returned empty-handed because sometimes they have just sold out, and sometimes the staff said they do not know when they will reopen."
Similar to Ms. Lan, Mr. Pham Hong Duc (50 years old, Trung Kinh, Cau Giay) - shared: "Like many people, I took advantage of my lunch break at the company to line up to buy gold rings, but I have never been able to buy any. There was a day when I didn't even have time to enter the store, the staff announced that all the gold rings were sold out. I also tried to ask the staff when the sale would be, but they all shook their heads and said they didn't have the information."
Faced with the situation of many customers waiting but unable to buy plain rings, a transaction staff of a gold shop in Cau Giay (Hanoi) - said: "Currently, the quantity of gold rings in the shop is very rare. Depending on the daily regulations, the shop only sells a small amount and there is no exact time of sale. This morning, the shop opened at 11am but sold out in less than 30 minutes. Besides, there are days when the limit for one customer is 3 taels of gold".
Additionally, at some gold shops in Hai Ba Trung district (Hanoi), the price of plain round gold rings is trading at 79.98 - 81.08 million VND/tael (buy - sell). SJC gold bars are listed at 80 - 82 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
At a gold shop on Tran Nhan Tong Street (Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi) selling gold rings, many people lined up to buy.
Sharing with PV Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Khac Tuyen (47 years old, Le Duan, Dong Da) - worried: "I went to the bank to withdraw money 2 days ago to prepare to buy gold, however, every store I went to, the staff said it was sold out. Currently, I am still waiting in line but I don't know if it's my turn to buy gold."
After waiting for many days, Ms. Pham Khanh Chi (32 years old, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi) still cannot buy even 1 tael of gold ring. "I also want to buy gold rings to store, but it is really difficult to buy them now. Besides, not being able to know the store's gold sale schedule like this makes me and other customers waste a lot of time" - Ms. Chi complained.
Gold price update
As of 5:00 p.m. on September 23, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by DOJI Group at VND80 - 82 million/tael (buy - sell). The difference between the buying and selling prices of SJC gold at DOJI Group was VND2 million/tael.
Meanwhile, Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of SJC gold at 80 - 82 million VND/tael (buy - sell). The difference between the buying and selling price of SJC gold at Saigon SJC Jewelry Company is at 2 million VND/tael.
At the same time, the price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong round gold ring at DOJI was listed at 80.1-81.2 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
Bao Tin Minh Chau also adjusted the price of plain round gold rings to increase to 79.98 - 81.08 million VND/tael (buy - sell), remaining unchanged.
The world gold price is currently listed on Kitco at 2,621.9 USD/ounce.
