Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang (Dong Da district, Hanoi) - a customer who came to buy gold rings at a gold shop on Tran Nhan Tong street - shared: "This morning, I came to the shop and was informed by the staff that they were out of gold rings, so I left immediately. Now, people don't have to wait in long lines to buy rings like many weeks ago."
Similarly, Mr. Pham Ngoc Dang (living in Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi) also had difficulty buying plain round gold rings.
"It is very difficult to buy gold rings at this time because many gold shops continue to limit the quantity and opening hours each day. I need to buy 3 taels of gold rings to celebrate a relative's wedding but I still haven't been able to buy them. There is no one waiting at this shop so I will go home and come back tomorrow," said Mr. Dang.
An employee at a gold shop on Tran Nhan Tong Street (Hanoi) said: "Currently, the shop is out of plain round gold rings and SJC gold bars and we don't know when there will be more. Therefore, we cannot announce the exact time of opening for sale to customers."
Gold price update
As of 10:35 a.m. on December 15, the price of SJC gold bars listed by DOJI Group was at VND83.8 - 86.3 million/tael (buy - sell). The difference between the buying and selling prices of SJC gold at DOJI Group was VND2.5 million/tael.
Meanwhile, Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of SJC gold at 83.8 - 86.3 million VND/tael (buy - sell). The difference between the buying and selling price of SJC gold at Bao Tin Minh Chau is 2.5 million VND/tael.
At the same time, the price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong round gold ring at DOJI was listed at 83.5 - 84.6 million VND/tael (buy - sell); an increase of 500,000 VND/tael for buying and an increase of 600,000 VND/tael for selling compared to the closing price of the previous trading session.
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of plain round gold rings at 83.68 - 85.43 million VND/tael (buy - sell); an increase of 700,000 VND/tael for buying and an increase of 1.39 million VND/tael for selling compared to the closing price of last week's trading session.
The world gold price listed on Kitco at 10:36 on December 15 (Vietnam time) is at 2,648.68 USD/ounce.
