Landslide leaves more than 100 tourists stranded on Khanh Le Pass

Khanh Hoa - Many landslides on Khanh Le Pass trapped more than 100 tourists and nearly 30 vehicles.

On the afternoon of December 15, Mr. Pham Ngoc Huu - Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Thai Commune, Khanh Vinh District (Khanh Hoa) confirmed that the functional forces had just approached the landslide area on National Highway 27C through Khanh Le Pass (connecting Nha Trang - Da Lat). In this area, there are currently 30 vehicles stuck.

According to information from the Son Thai commune authorities, there were many landslides on Khanh Le Pass that morning. At that time, about 30 vehicles were stuck at Km44.

Immediately, authorities mobilized dozens of cadres, militia and commune police to walk and climb ropes to approach the landslide site.

At the scene, authorities provided instant noodles, mineral water, cakes, and lunch boxes to those trapped.

Chairman of Son Thai Commune Pham Ngoc Huu added that the health of the stranded tourists is currently stable. However, moving down the pass is quite difficult due to the complex terrain and heavy rains that pose a risk of landslides at any time.

According to preliminary reports, there is still a group of about 100 tourists and 37 vehicles stuck on the pass. The location of the group of people stuck is determined at Km 58 and Km 59.

However, due to bad weather conditions, authorities have not yet been able to reach the location of this group of people.
