According to the South Central Region Hydrometeorological Station, in the past 12 hours, the southern part of Khanh Hoa province has had moderate to heavy rain, with some places having very heavy rain, with common rainfall ranging from 60 - 100mm.
In particular, some stations recorded heavy rainfall such as Cam Phuoc Dong commune (Cam Ranh city) 115.8mm, Cam Ranh lake basin 114.4mm. It is expected that in the next 12 hours, Khanh Hoa will continue to have moderate to heavy rain, total rainfall from 20-40mm, some places over 60mm. Floods have appeared on rivers and streams in the South of Khanh Hoa province and continue to rise, the flood peak will appear this evening and tonight.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue requested Nha Trang City, Dien Khanh, communes, wards and towns that are likely to be affected by flooding on Cai Nha Trang River to notify people to proactively evacuate to safe places.

According to the South Central Region Hydrometeorological Station, the weather forecast for tonight (December 15) and early tomorrow morning (December 16) is that Khanh Hoa province will continue to have rain in many places, with some places having moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Hydrological forecast for the night of December 15, flood on Cai River Nha Trang continues to rise and peak in the evening and night; flood peak at Dong Trang hydrological station is likely to reach 10.20m, 0.70m above alert level 2.
On Dinh Ninh Hoa River, water level fluctuates slightly. Due to the impact of heavy rain, it is necessary to be careful of localized flooding in low-lying areas, riverbanks, and urban roads.
Floods have affected the safety of reservoirs in Khanh Hoa province. By the afternoon of December 15, many reservoirs in the area had simultaneously discharged floodwaters.
Faced with the rapid rise in river water and fear of flooding coming at night, many people in the downstream areas of the Cai River in Nha Trang such as Vinh Thanh, Vinh Ngoc, and Vinh Phuong communes had to leave work early to prepare for the flood. Localized flooding has occurred since 5 p.m. in the downstream areas of the Cai River and some villages in Dien Khanh, Cam Lam districts, and Cam Ranh City.
