Techcombank interest rates decrease for all terms
Techcombank's mobilization interest rates are simultaneously 0.1%/year for terms from 1 to 36 months. After adjustment, online deposit interest rates for deposits under 1 billion VND, 1-2 month term is 3.25%/year; 3-5 months is 3.55%/year; 6-11 months is 4.55%/year; 12-36 months is 4.75%/year.
For deposits from VND 1 billion to under VND 3 billion, the listed interest rate is 0.05%/year higher than the above level. Accordingly, the 1-2 month term is 3.35%/year; 3-5 months 3.65%/year; 6-11 months 4.6%/year; 12-36 months is 4.8%/year.
For deposits of VND3 billion or more, the listed interest rate is 0.2%/year higher than that of deposits under VND1 billion for 1-5 month term, 0.1%/year higher for 6-36 month term. After adjustment, the 1-2 month term is 3.45%/year; 3-5 months 3.75%/year; 6-11 months 4.65%/year; and 12-36 months 4.85%/year.
Since the beginning of March, 13 banks have reduced deposit interest rates, including: PGBank, Viet A Bank, Kienlongbank, Bac A Bank, Eximbank, IVB, LPBank, Nam A Bank, NCB, SHB, VCBNeo, VIB and Techcombank.
Highest special interest rate 7-9%
The highest interest rate for 12-month terms is up to 7-9%, but to enjoy this interest rate, customers must meet special conditions.
PVcomBank leads with a special interest rate of 9%/year for a term of 12-13 months when depositing money at the counter. The applicable condition is that customers must maintain a minimum balance of VND 2,000 billion.
HDBank applies an interest rate of 8.1%/year for a 13-month term and 7.7%/year for a 12-month term, with the condition of maintaining a minimum balance of VND500 billion. In addition, the 18-month term is subject to a 6% interest rate.
MSB listed an interest rate of 7%/year for a term of 12 and 13 months. The condition is that the minimum deposit is 500 billion VND from newly opened or automatically renewed savings books from January 1, 2018.
Dong A Bank applies an interest rate of 7.5%/year for term deposits of 13 months or more, with a minimum amount of 200 billion VND; Bac A Bank is listing the highest interest rate of 6% for a term of 18-36 months for deposits over 1 billion VND; IVB applies an interest rate of 6.15% for a term of 36 months, with conditions applied to deposits of 1,500 billion VND or more.
Banks with interest rates exceeding 6%
Currently, interest rates above 6%/year are being listed by many banks for long-term deposits but do not require a minimum deposit amount.
BVBank applies an interest rate of 6% for an 18-month term, 6.05% for a 24-month term; Cake by VPBank applies an interest rate of 6%/year for a 12-18 month term and 6.3%/year for a 24-36 month term.
VRB and Dong A Bank apply an interest rate of 6% for a 24-month term; VietABank applies an interest rate of 6% for a 18- and 24-month term at 6%/year, 6.1% for a 36-month term; HDBank applies an interest rate of 6% for a 15-month term and 6.1% for a 18-month term; BAOVIET Bank applies an interest rate of 6% for a 15, 18, 24 and 36-month term; ABBank applies an interest rate of 6% for a 12-month term.
