A cramped two-story house and shaky lives
Mr. Pham Van Tuyen's house is located in a small alley in Tay Thanh residential group (Pho Hien ward, Hung Yen). From the outside, everyone thought it was a solid two-story house, but when you step in, you can clearly see the hardship.
The area of each floor is only a few square meters, the walls are peeling, the roofs are leaky and moldy everywhere. There is nothing valuable in the house other than a rotten wooden cabinet, a few crooked pots, an old fan that is about to break, and the beds are just assembled plastic sheets, where the grandparents and grandchildren are lying in turns.

The house has no toilets. Every time they need to do daily activities, the whole family has to temporarily clean up and throw them away at the landfill. It is raining and windy, at night, the elderly are sick and suffer even more. "The hardest part was when my grandfather got sick and wanted to go to the toilet without knowing what to do. Many nights I just sit and cry" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Bang, Mr. Tuyen's wife choked up.
Mr. Pham Van Tuyen is over 70 years old this year, suffering from many diseases, especially severe pneumonia requiring a suction tube for breathing. With a weak breath, every word of his is interrupted.

Mrs. Bang is also nearly 70 years old, and her health is poor, but she still has to take care of everything at home, take care of her husband, take care of her children, and take care of her young grandchildren. Both of them live on the love of the neighborhood and a small subsidy from the locality.
In the small room, Mr. Tuyen's coughing joined with the crying of children, the wind passed through the wall, creating a heartbreaking sad sound. Every corner of the house, every item is covered with the traces of poverty and disease.
The burden of three generations and simple wishes
She has two children. Her daughter got married far away and had a difficult life, so she rarely visited. His son, Phung Van Duy, has a neurological disorder and can only work freely, sometimes not. Mr. Duy, his wife and three young children live with their parents in that old house.
The three children are all old. In particular, the second child had congenital heart disease, had to undergo surgery once and needed regular check-ups.

Medicine money, hospital fees and living expenses make the already poor family even more exhausted. "The child is very weak, every time the wind blows, it turns purple. Many days my child had difficulty breathing, the couple could only hug each other and cry" - Mr. Duy said, his voice voice voice decreased.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuan, Head of Tay Thanh Residential Group, confirmed: Mr. Tuyen's family is in a particularly difficult situation. The two-story house is seriously degraded, without toilets, lacking furniture, and three generations are living in crowds. The local government has paid attention to support, but still really needs the help of the community.
Despite life's hardship, that small house still warms with love. Mr. Tuyen is weak, but still tries to smile whenever the little brother whispers next to him. Mrs. Bang still quietly took to the blanket, cooked in groups, and cooked silver-fried apricot meals with only vegetables and a little dried fish.
"We don't dare to hope for much, just hope to have a clean place to live, a toilet, children have a good education, and they have medicine to drink," she said softly.
Among the spacious houses of the city, that old house still shines with patience and kindness. It is not only the story of a poor family, but also a reminder of the quiet lives that need to be held in hand to share.
