In the simple house of their paternal grandparents, two brothers Dang Phu Quay, born in 2006, and Dang Phu Quyen, born in 2009, of the Red Dao ethnic group, in Xuan Thanh village, Thong Nguyen commune (Tuyen Quang) are still fighting against bone and joint disease every day.
Ms. Trieu Mui Man, 63 years old (Grandmother of Quay and Quyen) said that in their early years, both grandchildren developed normally like other children. However, when they grew up, both grandchildren suffered from bone and joint diseases, and their health deteriorated.
When Quyen finished 2nd grade, she had to drop out of school because she could not walk, only sat in one place. A few years later, her younger brother Quyen was also forced to stop studying when she had just finished 1st grade because her illness became as severe as her brother's," Mrs. Man choked up when talking about her 2 grandchildren.

For more than 3 years, both brothers have not been able to walk on their own. All activities from eating, personal hygiene to movement are completely dependent on the care of their paternal grandparents who are over 60 years old.
On days when the weather changes, joint pain makes the children almost unable to sleep. The small house, which was already deprived, becomes even heavier with the sighs of the elderly helplessly watching the children endure illness.
Difficulties piled up when in 2021, the children's parents divorced, after which each person had their own family. Since then, the two brothers have lived with their paternal grandparents in the protection and care of old age.
Despite their old age and declining health, they still diligently work every day to earn money for medicine, living expenses and taking care of and raising their two grandchildren to adulthood. Their income mainly depends on a few fields.
Mr. Dang Xuan Pu - Head of Xuan Thanh village, Thong Nguyen commune said that the circumstances of Mr. Dang Xuan Dung and Mrs. Trieu Mui Man's family are particularly difficult in the locality.
Two grandchildren, Quay and Quyen, are both severely disabled and need care and support to have conditions for treatment, improve health and life. We hope philanthropists and benefactors will know and join hands to help the 4 grandparents and grandchildren reduce difficulties," Mr. Dang Xuan Pu shared.
The future of the two brothers Quay and Quyen is still uncertain as the terrible disease is getting worse and worse while their health is getting weaker and weaker.
