We came to the house of gratitude built more than ten years ago from the joint efforts of the government and neighbors. In that small house in Vinh Hoa hamlet, Vinh Xuan commune, two visually impaired sisters Truong Ngoc Nhu Quynh (born in 2016) and Truong Minh Thien (born in 2017) still cherish the dream of going to school like their peers.
Sitting in front of the porch, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Be (born in 1967 - the two children's grandmother) choked up and said that right from birth, Nhu Quynh was congenitally visually impaired, Minh Thien lost his right eye vision, and his left eye was only about 1%.
According to Ms. Be, the doctor said that Nhu Quynh no longer has a chance to be treated. Minh Thien alone still has hope of preserving his meager vision if treated promptly. However, the family does not have land, life becomes even more difficult when the mother of the two children has a work accident, and now only does light work.
At nearly 60 years old, Mrs. Be is no longer able to work. Every time the doctor makes an appointment to take Minh Thien for a re-examination, she can only remain silent because she has no money to take her grandchild for treatment, even though the opportunity to retain her meager vision is still there.
Mentioning the times she was helped, Mrs. Be choked up and said that each gift, each support amount was very precious. "I just hope to have money to take Thien for eye treatment. As long as he can still see to continue going to school, I am satisfied," Mrs. Be said emotionally.
Sitting nestled next to her grandmother, Minh Thien softly said that she only hopes her eyes will be brighter so that she can clearly see her family, teachers, friends and continue to go to school. She wishes to have a job in the future, earn money to take care of her grandmother and mother.

Teacher Nguyen Khanh - teacher of Huu Thanh B Primary School - said that Nhu Quynh and Minh Thien are currently in 2nd grade according to the inclusive education model for disabled students. The school applies programs and lesson plans suitable to each student's ability to absorb.
Teacher Khanh said that thanks to mobilizing philanthropists to support taking Minh Thien for examination, the doctor determined that he still had a chance to retain his vision if treated with lasers and re-examined many times. That is also the greatest hope for him and his family at this time.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Thach Hoang Anh - Head of Vinh Hoa hamlet, Vinh Xuan commune - said that Ms. Nguyen Thi Be's family is in particularly difficult circumstances. The locality is completing procedures for Truong Ngoc Nhu Quynh to enjoy the regime of support for people with disabilities.
According to Mr. Hoang Anh, the locality always prioritizes supporting the family when there is a source of social security gifts and from philanthropists: "The family really needs to join hands so that Minh Thien can continue treatment, conserve his meager vision and have the opportunity to continue his dream of going to school.
