5 cases removed from the list of reputable people according to new regulations

Point a, Clause 2, Article 8 of Decree 307/2026/ND-CP Regulating the selection, recognition, and policy for prestigious people in ethnic minority areas and policies for visiting, congratulating, giving gifts, encouraging, meeting, praising, and honoring a number of ethnic minority organizations and individuals (effective from September 20, 2026), stipulates the cases removed from the list of prestigious people as follows:

Reputable people die.

People with prestige who have moved to another place to live; people with prestige who are in poor health, voluntarily request to withdraw from the list of people with prestige in writing.

People with prestige are issued decisions of temporary detention, arrest, emergency search, prosecution of defendants or legally effective judgments of People's Courts at all levels by competent State agencies.

People with prestige lose their civil act capacity; have difficulty in perceiving and mastering their actions; and have limited civil act capacity according to the provisions of law.

People with reduced prestige, not ensuring sufficient criteria according to the provisions of Article 4 of this Decree.

Thus, from September 20, 2026, the above cases must be removed from the list of reputable people.
