In hamlet 20, Ea Rieng commune, Mr. Vang Seo Phu (64 years old) is a reputable person trusted and respected by the people.
Over the years, he has always wholeheartedly propagated and mobilized people to well implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, especially policies on poverty reduction, economic development and building a cultural life in residential areas.
According to Mr. Phu, thanks to the correct policies of the Party and the State, especially the implementation of national target programs, the lives of people in villages have had many positive changes.
People are supported with livelihoods, access to production development resources, boldly invest in animal husbandry, increase income and gradually stabilize the family economy.
People are now more diligent in doing business, know how to calculate, and know how to worry about their children's future," Mr. Phu shared.
According to him, the most encouraging thing is not only the improved material life but also the change in people's awareness. From the psychology of waiting and relying, many households have proactively sought directions for economic development, actively working and producing to rise out of poverty.
From the reality at the grassroots level, Mr. Phu hopes that all levels of government will continue to pay attention to investing in the fields of health, education, culture, and arts in ethnic minority areas.
According to him, when people, especially the younger generation, have more access to cultural and artistic activities, spiritual life will become richer and richer; while contributing to preserving national cultural identity and creating sustainable development momentum for villages.
Not only actively promoting economic development, Mr. Phu also regularly propagates and reminds people to strictly comply with the law, maintain security and order, build a civilized lifestyle, and promote the spirit of solidarity and mutual support to develop together.
Promoting the role of reputable people in the new period
Mr. Giang A Chu - Head of the grassroots security team of village 20 - said that the village currently has 208 households and is in particularly difficult circumstances.
However, in recent years, people's lives have had many positive changes. The security and order situation has always been maintained, many young people actively look for jobs, working at businesses outside the locality to increase income and improve their lives.
According to Mr. Giang A Chu, in propaganda and mobilization of the people, the role of village elders, village heads and reputable people is extremely important. They are people who are close to the people, understand the people, and are trusted by the people, so their voices always have a spreading and persuasive power.
At village and hamlet meetings, local authorities all send officials to directly attend to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the people, promptly answer difficulties and obstacles right from the grassroots level.
In addition, ethnic minority officials regularly coordinate with reputable people to propagate and mobilize people to well implement the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State; actively participate in movements to build a cultural life and maintain security and order in the locality.
Mr. Giang A Chu said that for more than 20 years, Mr. Vang Seo Phu has always been one of the typical prestigious people of the village.
Through training classes and fostering knowledge about ethnic and religious policies, Mr. Phu has absorbed a lot of useful information to continue to propagate and disseminate it to the people.
Mr. Phu regularly mobilizes people to well comply with the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; not to illegally cross the border, not to get married early, and not to marry at the right age; and at the same time focus on labor production and family economic development to rise up in life," Mr. Giang A Chu shared.
According to Mr. Hoa Quang Binh - Head of the Culture and Social Department of Ea Rieng commune, in the coming time, the locality will continue to pay attention to organizing training classes, fostering knowledge, and improving capacity for reputable people in the area.
This is the core force, an important bridge between Party committees, authorities and people, contributing to bringing the guidelines and policies of the Party, the State and national target programs closer to ethnic minorities," Mr. Binh emphasized.
