Obstructing business establishment due to gender stereotypes fined up to 5 million VND

Clause 2, Article 3 of Decree 76/2026/ND-CP (effective from May 1, 2026) amends and supplements Clauses 1, 2, Article 7 of Decree No. 125/2021/ND-CP Regulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of gender equality, stipulating fines from 4 million VND to 5 million VND for one of the following acts:

a) Using force to obstruct people from establishing businesses and carrying out production and business activities due to gender stereotypes;

b) Repairing or falsifying dossiers to obstruct people from establishing businesses and carrying out production and business activities due to gender stereotypes;

c) Forcing others to correct or falsify dossiers to obstruct people from establishing businesses and carrying out production and business activities due to gender stereotypes.

Thus, from May 1, 2026, people who use force to prevent establishing businesses and conducting production and business due to gender stereotypes may be fined up to 5 million VND.
