The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:
Article 37 of the Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking 2024 (effective from July 1, 2025) stipulates the subjects and support regimes for victims as follows:
1. The victim is a Vietnamese citizen and a non-state residing in Vietnam who is entitled to the following support regime:
a) Support essential needs;
b) Medical support;
c) Support for translating;
d) Legal support;
d) Legal aid;
e) Support for travel costs;
g) Psychological support;
h) Support cultural learning;
i) Support vocational training, consulting, and creating conditions for employment;
k) Initial difficulties allowance, loan support.
2. People under 18 years old accompanying the victim who is a Vietnamese citizen or a non-national person residing in Vietnam are entitled to the support regime prescribed in points from Point a to Point h, Clause 1 of this Article.
3. People in the process of being identified as victims who are Vietnamese citizens and people under 18 years old traveling abroad are entitled to the support regime prescribed in points from point a to point d, clause 1 of this Article.
People in the process of being identified as Vietnamese citizens, non-state people residing in Vietnam and people under 18 years old traveling together in the country are entitled to the support regime prescribed in points from point a to point g, Clause 1 of this Article.
4. Victims and people in the process of being identified as foreign victims being bought and sold in Vietnam will, depending on each case, enjoy the support regime prescribed in Points a, b, c, d, dd and g, Clause 1 of this Article.
5. The Government shall detail this Article.
Thus, victims of human trafficking are entitled to the above support regime.
