How long does an electronic driving license be issued?

Clause 1, Article 19 of Circular 108/2026/TT-BCA of the Minister of Public Security regulating testing and issuing driver's licenses; issuing and using international driver's licenses (effective from July 1, 2026), stipulates the issuance of driver's licenses as follows:

1. The Traffic Police Department issues electronic driver's licenses to people who pass the driving test and integrates them into the electronic data system within 02 hours from the time of completion of the driving test. In case people have a need to issue a PET driver's license, the Traffic Police Department or the Traffic Police Department organizes the printing and return of the driver's license within 3.5 working days from the date of completion of the driving test; the return of the driver's license to people who pass the driving test is carried out at the Traffic Police Department or through training institutions (if any), testing centers or through postal services at the request of individuals.

Thus, from July 1, 2026, the Traffic Police Department will issue electronic driving licenses to people who pass the driving test results and integrate them into the electronic data system within 02 hours from the time of completion of the driving test.
