    Clause 6, Article 13 of Decree 81/2026/ND-CP Regulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of railway traffic (effective from May 15, 2026), stipulates as follows:

    A fine of between 4 million VND and 6 million VND shall be imposed on drivers of motorbikes, mopeds (including electric motorbikes), similar vehicles to motorbikes and similar vehicles to motorbikes overcoming level crossing barriers and common bridges when barriers are moving; overtaking level crossings and common bridges when red lights have been turned on; failing to comply with the orders and instructions of traffic signs, road markings or instructions of level crossing and common bridge guards when crossing level crossings and common bridges.

    Thus, from May 15, 2026, motorcyclists crossing railway barriers may be fined up to 6 million VND according to the above regulations.
