Clause 2, Article 4 of Decree 176/2026/ND-CP (effective from July 7, 2026) stipulates preferential policies for lecturers, students, graduate students, research students, and management staff in the field of nuclear power, stipulating preferential treatment for master's and doctoral graduate students as follows:
a) Being tuition-free;
b) Being able to stay in a free dormitory;
c) Being allocated monthly living expenses equal to 3.5 times the base salary for graduate students and 5.0 times the base salary for research students. Each year allocating 12 months of living expenses;
d) Be supported with funding equal to 35 times the base salary level if it is the leading author or the sole contact author of a scientific paper in nuclear power specialties according to the content of a thesis or dissertation accepted to be published in a prestigious international journal as prescribed by the Ministry of Science and Technology;
e) Be provided with free textbooks and specialized monographs on nuclear power;
e) Be considered for participation in conferences and scientific seminars in the field of nuclear power at home and abroad. The expenses for attending conferences and seminars are guaranteed by the state budget;
g) Priority is given to presiding over grassroots science and technology tasks with content according to research topics of master's and doctoral dissertations;
h) Being prioritized to be sent for short-term internships at home and abroad in the final year of the training program. Internship costs are guaranteed by the state budget;
i) To maintain the salary and current regimes for graduate students and research students who are civil servants and public employees sent to study by management agencies;
k) Being prioritized for recruitment to work at agencies and organizations operating in the field of atomic energy and nuclear power plants.
Thus, from July 7, 2026, research students and graduate students committing to work at nuclear power plants after graduation will enjoy the above preferential regimes.
