Section 6, Part II, Decision No. 6375/QD-BQP dated December 10, 2025 on the announcement of amended and supplemented administrative procedures in the field of military service under the management of the Ministry of National Defense stipulates the procedures for registering for temporary military service as follows:

Implementation procedures:

Step 1: Citizens who have registered for military service, when leaving their place of residence or work or study for 03 months or more, must register for temporary military service online or register directly at the Commune-level Military Command. In case the agency or organization does not have a Military Command, the head or legal representative of the agency or organization shall be responsible for organizing citizens to register for military service temporarily absent from their place of residence.

Within 05 days from the date of return to the place of residence or workplace or study place, citizens who have registered for temporary military service must re-register online or register directly at the Commune-level Military Command;

Step 2: Within 01 day, the Commune-level Military Command is responsible for completing the procedures for registering for temporary military service; adding information to the register of citizens ready to join the army or the register of reserve soldiers; making a list of citizens registering for temporary military service or re-registering citizens (in case of citizens returning).

How to do it: The person completing the procedure must do it online or directly to the Commune-level Military Command to register for temporary military service.
