Regulations on recovering commendation and bonus items from July 2025

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Article 58 of Decree 152/2025/ND-CP (effective from July 1, 2025) stipulates the revocation of commendation and bonus items as follows:

1. Recalling State-level commendation and bonus items

a) Within 15 working days from the date of receipt of the decision: Revoking the state honorary title, canceling the President's reward decision, the decision to award emulation titles and forms of commendation of the Government and the Prime Minister, the collective and individuals are responsible for returning all commendation items and bonuses received to the ministries, departments, branches, and provinces where the commendation has been presented and paying bonuses to individuals, groups, and households;

b) Ministries, departments, branches and provinces are responsible for urging individuals, collectives and households to return the commendation items received on time and send them to the Ministry of Home Affairs within 15 working days from the date of receipt of the recovered items; the recovered bonuses shall be paid to the state budget or the emulation and commendation fund according to regulations;

c) The Ministry of Home Affairs is responsible for urging ministries, departments, branches, provinces, and organizing the recovery of commendation items received.

2. Recalling in-kind and bonuses for emulation titles and other forms of commendation

a) Within 15 working days from the date of receipt of the decision to cancel the emulation title and forms of commendation from the competent authority, individuals, groups and households are responsible for returning all commendation items and bonuses received to the competent authority issuing the commendation decision;

b) The competent authority issuing the decision to award emulation titles and forms of commendation is responsible for urging individuals, groups, and households to return the commendation items and bonuses received on time and organize the recovery according to regulations.

Thus, from July 1, 2025, the recovery of commendation and bonus items is regulated as above.
