Article 14, Decree 287/2026/ND-CP Regulating copyright fees in the fields of cinema, fine arts, photography, performing arts, journalism, publishing (effective from September 1, 2026) stipulates copyright fees for creative journalistic works as follows:
1. Copyright money for creative journalistic works of print journalism and electronic journalism is implemented according to the provisions of law on assigning tasks, ordering or bidding.
2. Copyright fees for creative journalistic works of radio and television types are paid in the unit price of production of journalistic works that have been approved by competent authorities to produce content according to ordering, assigning tasks or bidding using state budget sources.
3. Based on the cases specified in points a, b, clause 3, Article 3 of this Decree, the authority specified in clause 7, Article 3 of this Decree and the autonomy mechanism of press agencies according to the provisions of law, the encouraging copyright fee is decided by the head of the press agency or implemented according to the decision of the competent authority.
Thus, from September 1, 2026, copyright fees for journalistic works will be paid as above.
