Foreign Trade University offers 3 admission methods for candidates with an IELTS certificate in 2025, including: Considering IELTS with high school transcripts, considering IELTS with high school graduation exam scores and considering IELTS with SAT/ACT/A-level (other international language certificates are also considered similarly).
The IELTS method with high school transcripts is only for students majoring in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics, Literature, Foreign Language and students with national prizes, students with provincial prizes (First, Second, Third) in these subjects. The method is also applied to students who have won national science and technology awards.
The requirement for submitting an IELTS certificate is 6.5 or higher. This score remains unchanged from previous years.
At Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, candidates with IELTS certificates from 4.5 - 7.0 are converted to 7.5 - 10 points. In addition, the school also allows the conversion of other foreign language certificates including: TOEFL iBT; TOEFL iTP; VSTEP B1.
