In 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology plans to enroll 9,680 students based on 3 methods:
Talent recruitment (about 20% of enrollment target);
Admission based on the thinking assessment test score (about 40% of the admission quota);
Considering the 2025 high school graduation exam scores (about 40% of the enrollment target).
With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores in 2025, candidates must ensure that they have graduated from high school and meet the floor score level prescribed by Hanoi University of Science and Technology (notice later).
The university kept the same 10 admission and main subject combinations as previous years including: A00, A01, A02, B00, D01, D04, D07, D26, D28 and D29.
At the same time, a new combination of K01 is added including the subjects: Math, Literature, Physics/Choa/ sinh/Tin. In which Math and Literature are 2 compulsory subjects, combined with 1 of 4 subjects: Physics or Chemistry or Business or Science with coefficient multipliers. The formula for calculating admission scores for K01 combination is as follows:
Math x 3 + Literature x 1 + Physics/C chemistry/ synthesis/Literature x2.
The admission combinations are calculated equally.
According to Hanoi University of Science and Technology, candidates with VSTEP English certificate or international English certificate can convert it into English subject scores when considering admission based on high school graduation exam scores (combined A01, D01, D04, D07) and add bonus points when considering admission based on talent selection, based on thinking assessment test scores.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology has announced the plan to organize the thinking assessment exam (TSA) in 2025. Accordingly, there will be 3 rounds of exams taking place in January - March - 4 at more than 30 exam locations nationwide.
