This is an objective multiple-choice test, with a test duration of 60 minutes.
Of the 3 subjects in the 10th grade entrance exam, foreign language is the only exam in the form of objective multiple-choice tests.
There are many exam questions in one exam room, ensuring the principle: 2 adjacent students do not match the exam questions; students take the exam on multiple-choice answers; the exam results are graded using computer software.
From 2:00 p.m., candidates start taking the foreign language test. The time to submit the test is 15 hours on the same day.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training's English sample exam consists of 40 objective multiple-choice questions with 4 options and multiple-choice questions in the 60-minute test, including 18 simple questions and 5 clusters of questions including 1 context/incident along with questions on words, grammar, expressed in written text, reading and understanding the text.
The questions in the exam are built with 03 levels of thinking: Knowledge (20%) - Understanding (40%) - Application (40%), to assess candidates' foreign language proficiency. Compared to the morning exam, many candidates expressed confidence when entering the Foreign Language exam. For many students, Foreign Language is considered a top subject and a high-scoring subject in the entrance exam for grade 10.
