In 2026, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam plans to consider regular university admissions with 11 training majors according to the following 04 methods:
- Method 1: Direct admission and priority admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Method 2: Combined admission based on high school academic results and international foreign language certificates for candidates studying the high school program of Vietnam.
- Method 3: Combined admission based on the SAT/ACT/A-level/IB Diploma international competency assessment certificate and international foreign language certificate:
The benchmark score for SAT is from 1,200/1,600, ACT 29/36, A-Level scores D for each subject and IB 30/45. The scores of the certificates will be converted into a scale of 10 or 20, depending on the type. The detailed conversion table will be announced later by the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
- Method 4: Admission based on the results of the 2026 High School Graduation Exam.
Training majors include: International Relations, International Economics, International Business, International Law, International Commercial Law, International Communications, English Language, Korean Studies, American Studies, Japanese Studies, Chinese Studies.
The total expected target for 11 majors is 2,200 targets. Admission combinations include A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), C00 (Literature, History, Geography), D01, 03, 04, 06, D2 (Math, Literature, English/French/Chinese/Japanese/Korean), D07 (Math, Chemistry, English), D09 (Math, History, English), D10 (Math, Geography, English), D14 (Literature, History, English), D15 (Literature, Geography, English).

In 2025, the benchmark score of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam ranges from 24.17 to 26.09, the highest is Chinese Studies, and the lowest is American Studies. This level applies to 13/14 combinations. C00 alone has an admission score 3 points higher.
