Hanoi National University of Education 2 has just announced 6 official university admission methods for 2026, including: Direct admission; considering high school graduation exam scores; considering high school transcripts; considering the results of independent exams organized by Hanoi National University of Education 2 and Ho Chi Minh City University of Education; admission by combining the above methods with aptitude test scores.
With the transcript review method, instead of considering admission for all majors as last year, the school limits it to majors: Preschool Education, Physical Education, Civic Education, Informatics Pedagogy, Information Technology, Material Sciences, Sports Management, Vietnamese Studies, Education Studies (expected), Political Economy (expected).

With the method of considering competency assessment exam scores, the school has removed the consideration of competency assessment exam scores from Vietnam National University Hanoi, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi National University of Education.
With combined admission, candidates taking the entrance exams to preschool education, physical education and sports management majors will take the aptitude test organized by the school and then take scores combined with transcript scores, graduation exam scores or independent assessment exam scores.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thu - Head of Training Department, Hanoi National University of Education 2 said that from 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training will abolish early admission and reduce admission scores between common scoring methods. Therefore, narrowing the quota for admission based on high school transcripts is a very important step.
At Hanoi National University of Education 2, in previous years when the common score scale was not applied, the enrollment quota based on academic transcripts fluctuated in the range of 5-10%, but in 2025, this number increased to 23%.
However, when analyzing the exam score data of more than 700 candidates admitted with high school transcripts in 2025, the school found a difference between high school transcript scores and high school graduation exam scores in the same subject combination.
The transcript scores of admitted candidates are all higher than the high school graduation exam scores. This shows that it is necessary to calculate very carefully in converting scores from transcripts to high school graduation exam scores. We do not deny the value of transcripts. This is still a good admission method. However, there needs to be a suitable conversion mechanism" - Mr. Thu explained.
Mr. Thu said that it is necessary to adjust the admission quota based on high school transcripts, but it cannot be completely abolished, because for core and specific technology majors, this is still an effective admission method.
For example, with the Department of Physical Education and Sports Management, the main enrollment target is athletes who have passed the age of competition. They have a need to switch to studying physical education and sports management or sports training. Therefore, the school still uses academic records to enroll students for this major" - Mr. Thu analyzed.
It's a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit.
