Community-linked education model from an open letter
Recently, Tesla Elementary School (Thanh Liet Ward, Hanoi City) sent an open letter to parents who are officers and soldiers of the People's Police working at Thanh Liet Ward Police. In the letter, the school's leaders shared: "Behind each officer and soldier of the People's Police, who are day and night maintaining peace for the community, is silent sacrifice, discipline, responsibility and dedication to society. These noble qualities not only contribute to protecting a peaceful life for everyone, but are also a precious foundation of personality, with a profound influence on families and the young generation.

From the above thinking, school leaders have implemented a scholarship policy from 50% to 70% of tuition fees for the 2026 - 2027 school year; 30% of tuition fees in the following school years are for children of cadres and soldiers of the People's Police working at Thanh Liet Ward Police enrolled in the 2026 - 2027 school year. The specific scholarship level will be considered based on the enrollment documents of each student.
This is not only a support policy, but also a recognition and gratitude for the silent contributions of parents to the community," said the school representative.
This approach shows a noteworthy direction: schools are places to share, accompany and spread values, becoming a part of the community.
Not just a school, but a "train station
Tesla calls himself "The Train Station of Dreams". This is a metaphor rich in images but also contains a clear educational philosophy. There, each student is not a person who "goes to school" according to stereotypes, but a person who starts a journey to explore themselves, knowledge and the world around them.
The noteworthy point is Tesla's perception that primary school is not only a place to absorb basic knowledge, but also a time to form habits, personality, self-learning ability and confidence. Therefore, instead of emphasizing achievements or scores, the school focuses on building a foundation for comprehensive development.

One of Tesla's clear differences is the approach to English. Instead of considering it a separate subject, the school makes English a natural part of learning life, accounting for about 33% of the time each week.
This means that students not only "learn English", but also use English to learn other subjects such as Math, Science, and even in experiential activities.
This approach creates two parallel impacts. On the one hand, children absorb language naturally, without pressure. On the other hand, they soon form academic thinking in English, creating a clear advantage in the context of increasingly deep international integration.

This is also the point that many modern education models in the world are aiming for: learning language through content, instead of learning language as a separate goal.
One of the most valuable points in Tesla's philosophy is the view: no two children are the same.
Instead of applying a common measure, the school recognizes each step of students as personal "seals" that become unique imprints in the journey of maturity.
This approach helps reduce comparison pressure, while creating an environment where each student develops according to their own speed and ability. This is also what many modern parents desire: their children not only study well, but also understand themselves, are confident and have their own identity.
In the overall picture of education, Tesla is not the only model in the direction of innovation. But what is worth mentioning is how they combine many elements: humanistic philosophy, integrated curriculum, bilingual environment and personal respect for students.
If education is considered a journey, then clearly, the important thing is not only the destination, but the way to start. And from that perspective, "dream train stations" like Tesla may not be the only solution, but it is certainly a suggestion worth thinking about.
