The 2025 high school graduation exam takes place from June 26 to 27 with more than 1.16 million candidates. Of which, nearly 1.14 million candidates will take the new general education program (2018) and more than 26,700 students will take the old program (2006).
Candidates in the new program will take two compulsory subjects: Literature and Math, along with two optional subjects in the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Agricultural Technology, Industrial Technology, Foreign Language (7 languages).
Candidates in the old program take the Literature, Math, Foreign Language exam with the optional Natural Science exam (Chemistry, Physics, Biology) or Social Science exam (History, Geography, Civic Education).

After knowing the high school graduation exam scores, candidates have 10 days to submit an application if they want, the deadline is July 25. Candidates will receive a certificate of exam results, a temporary graduation certificate, and a high school transcript, no later than July 22.
The time for registering, adjusting and supplementing university admission wishes is from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28, with no limit on the number of times. Candidates pay the online admission fee from July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5.
