The woman over 50 years old who harassed BTS member Jin on stage has been transferred to the prosecution agency.

On May 8, Korean time, Seoul Songpa police confirmed that a Japanese woman over 50 years old, named A, was transferred to the prosecution for indecent harassment of BTS member Jin.

Last year, on June 13, after his mandatory military service discharge, Jin held a "hiding event" with 1,000 lucky fans as part of the "2024 FESTA" event.

At this event, two fans were criticized for kissing Jin on the cheek without giving an advance notice.

Ms. "A" flew from Japan to South Korea to attend the questioning session and was transferred to the prosecution for investigation and prosecution.

Another female individual with similar harassment has not yet been found.

Jin is a South Korean singer and songwriter. He is a member of the South Korean boy band BTS. Jin co-wrote and released 3 solo songs with BTS: "Awake" (2016), "Epiphany" (2018) and "Moon" (2020), all of which debuted on Gaon Digital Chart in Korea. In 2019, Jin released his debut solo song "Tonight". His debut solo single "The Astronaut" was released on October 28. 2022.

In addition to singing, Jin also appeared as a host on many Korean music programs from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, he was awarded the Cultural Medal by the President of Korea to other members of BTS for the group's contributions to promoting Korean culture.
