On the morning of May 10, at the intersection between Le Nin Street and 72m Avenue (Vinh City, Nghe An), a serious traffic accident occurred between a truck carrying watermelon and a passenger bus, causing the truck to overturn, tons of watermelon to spill onto the road.
According to witnesses, the incident occurred at around 5am. The melon truck was carrying three people, believed to be a couple and a young child. After the strong collision, the two injured people were taken to the emergency room. The father was still trapped in the car cabin until more than 7am, and rescue forces urgently deployed a rescue plan.

The truck with Thanh Hoa license plate overturned, with its front end crushed, and watermelon scattered all over the road. The location of the accident was a large intersection, intersecting Le Nin Avenue and 72m Avenue - an area where accidents have occurred many times due to unreasonable traffic lights and high traffic density.

Immediately after the incident, dozens of people in Vinh City voluntarily arrived, together clearing the scene and "rescuing" the fallen melons. The image of people busy cleaning up, buying melons and donating money to help the victim's family spread strongly on social networks, moving many people.
"Seeing the tragic accident, the couple took their young child to the South to make a living and had an accident in the middle of the road. We came to help them collect melons and buy them back to help them reduce damage" - a resident shared.
The authorities are blocking the scene and investigating the cause of the accident.
